• Demonstrates outstanding achievement and leadership in their professional domain.

• Has made a significant impact in their industry, profession, or area of expertise.

• Recognized by peers, industry leaders, or institutions for their contributions.

2/ Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

• Actively works to bridge gaps between diverse communities, including but not limited to cultural, racial, gender, ability, and socio-economic diversity.

• Champions inclusivity in their profession, workplace, or community initiatives.

• Advocates for underrepresented voices and creates opportunities for equitable participation.

3/ Positive Impact on Canadian Society

• Has contributed to the enrichment of Canada through initiatives that promote unity, understanding, and shared success.

• Demonstrates leadership in fostering collaboration between different groups, organizations, or industries.

• Their work has had a measurable or transformative impact on Canadian society, inspiring positive change.

4/ Legacy and Sustainability

• Their contributions have long-term significance and continue to inspire future generations.

• Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing efforts in making Canada a more inclusive, diverse, and prosperous nation.

• Upholds the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and integrity.

• Leads by example, demonstrating moral and ethical responsibility in their field and community.

• Respected by peers and the broader community for their contributions and values.

6/ Eligibility & Selection Process

• Open to individuals across all fields, including business, arts, media, science, education, public service, and social advocacy.

• Nominees must be at least 18 years old. If under 18, they must have written consent from a parent or guardian to be considered.

• Applicants can be citizens of any country, provided they have made a significant contribution to the betterment of Canada.

• Nominations are reviewed by an independent panel of esteemed judges representing diverse sectors and communities.

• Awardees are selected based on demonstrated excellence, their commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the lasting impact of their work.

• People may nominate themselves, but we will be asking for two independent references if they make it to the qualifying round.


The Hua Cai Awards is more than just a recognition of success; it honours those who shape the future of Canada by embracing diversity, championing inclusivity, and fostering meaningful connections across communities.
